What a night of paranormal activity we experienced in the Black Bull Haworth, Bradford, England, which is in the centre of the world famous novelists, the Bronte sisters country. They used to live in the parsonage which is in close proximity to the Black Bull.
On a recent ghost hunt, we had ghostly communication with a spirit from the other side, who claimed to be none other than Emily Bronte, with a group of ghost hunters who were participating in a glass divination experiment. In a vigil in the restaurant area, the group were participating in glass divination, they had gleamed that the spirit communicating with them was a lady, when they asked the lady to spell her first name. It spelt out, E.M.I.L.Y, and one of our ghost hunters exclaimed, “is it Emily Bronte”.
The glass moved to yes, this left the group ecstatic and delighted, the group continued at length communicating with the world famous author to their joy and amazement.
Everyone in the room felt both honoured and privileged to be communicating with such a world famous spirit. The group asked many questions and received many 'yes and no's' to their questions. We asked each ghost hunter who was part of the investigation using the glass, to remove their finger in turn as to rule out any tomfoolery. Everyone was satisfied that there was no trickery at all.

In to the light.
On a recent ghost hunt, with Simply Ghost Nights we were attempting spirit communication in a 16th century coaching inn. The inn was in the centre of a west Yorkshire market town, in a large open square with trees lined on either side of the square, bringing a lighter tone and feel to the area with household shopping brands in near location to it.
The public house itself was on four floors, with a rendered front and an arch at the side leading to the court yard, where centuries ago the coaches and horses would have pulled into then proceeded on their way.
The inn had many uses over the years from a travellers rest, to a hotel, and a more sinister past as well, it had been well documented locally that the attic had been used as a back street abortion room, in the 1940s until about the 1960s. The activity reported in the building ranged from, disembodied voices, items thrown from the bar area, and strange banging and tapping.
As I entered the public house, it was quite empty of the living, but there was a mass of energy from the ghostly side, I could sense the spirit of a lady who was stood at the bar watching the group of us who had entered the building, she looked as though she was in her sixties, with her hair in a bun too, and her frame was that of a slight lady she looked as though she was from the 1960’s era.
On a previous visit to inspect the building just to see if it was suitable for a ghost night, I had come across the spirits of two soldiers from the first world war too, they had been stationed in the old inn before going to France. I gleamed from them that they had in fact been local lads and were part of a Pals group who had gone to France in 1915 and had been killed in France. The inn had been there local when they had been alive and it held so many happy memories for them, prior to their deaths in the muddy fields in France.
On a vigil in the attic the energies in the room felt erratic and coupled with the feeling of uneasiness and sorrow that could be felt by many of the ghost hunters in the attic. I picked up the spirit of a woman called Sarah, she communicated through mediumship that she had died in the attic, due to complications in an attempted abortion. She informed me that her child was with her, and she felt trapped in the attic because of the shame she had placed on her family after the failed abortion her body was found in an alley, with the obvious signs of blood and injury.
She went on to explain that in her days to have a child out of wedlock, would bring shame and dishonour to the family name, but also to have been found dead in the gutter was even worst for her family. I asked her if she and her child wanted to be released from the attic where they were in essence entombed, Sarah agreed that she was now ready to pass to the other side.
I explained the procedure to the group that we would be asking for help from my spirit guides in assisting Sarah and her child. I then asked for Simo and the Doctor, my two guides to help Sarah in moving to the other side. I also asked for Sarah’s family to come forward and help her on her journey to the light. After a few seconds or so one of our party said that she could see lights coming out from around my back and head.
The whole atmosphere in the attic then changed, it became lighter almost brighter, everyone stated that they had seen the light too, and that the room felt calmer almost serene. We carried on the ghost hunt in a more happier atmosphere, knowing Sarah and her child had know moved onto a better place.
Thank you. Stu xx

Evidence of spirit activity
Gainsborough old Nick Theatre.
What a night of paranormal activity, no superlatives can describe the amount of paranormal phenomena that occur3ed at the creepy Gainsborough Old Nick Theatre. The evening started with a brief and informative chat from John the manager of the Old Nick, who was such a splendid host for the night.
In the group séance at the start of the ghost hunt, everyone heard unexplained banging and tapping from within the main theatre room in which we were holding our group séance. We also witnessed light analomies in the theatre room as well, all this was too much for one of our ghost hunters Jo, who quickly fled the room in a terrified state , however after a few minutes Jo bravely returned to the group vigil once more.
Some of the ghost hunters claimed that they could here the theatre seats moving up and down also.
After we had all split into our four vigil groups the spirits certainly came out to entertain us at this former police station, the ghostly inhabitants left many of us astonished at the level of spooky happenings.
Anne Marie one of the sceptics to join us claimed to have been kicked on the shin, in one of the vigil areas in the Old Nick, Anne Marie stated at the end of the night that she had changed her opinion on the possibility of life after death. Another sceptic Nick, was left stunned as the table tipped literally into his lap in the theatre room, in a session of table tipping.
Another group of ghost hunters swore they had heard heavy footsteps on the empty staircase, in the men’s cells another group stared in disbelief as a light anomaly in the shape of a perfect circle, literally moved along the darkened cell wall from left to right, and simply vanished in front of their disbelieving eyes.
We also had some excellent results with the glass divination as well in many of the vigil areas, in one vigil a ghostly character called ‘Don’ made his presence known through glass divination, K2 spikes were produced on request in attempting spirit contact with the spirit world, this enthralled Tracey and her group in the women’s cells, especially coupled with the aggressive tapping that almost lifted the table from off the floor.
However at the latter part of the ghost night, two groups were treated to a ferocious display of table tipping in the men’s wing, Richard said that he had never observed such an astonishing sight in his life, but many of us who have had first hand experience of table tipping, said, exactly the same too.
Alas as our time there came to a close, we all felt that it had been a privilege to have witnessed so much activity in one venue. As we said our goodbyes to the spirit world and to our amiable host John, we vowed to come back to The Gainsborough Old Nick Theatre and see if the spirits would delight us once more with their appearance.

Evidence of an afterlife
Hi my name is Stuart Dawson I am a pyschic medium and run a ghost hunting company called Simply Ghost Nights. On a recent ghost night on one of our events we were using one of our Frank box, (ghost box). When I was pointing a red laser pen at a teddy bear which was next to a motion sensor. I was hoping for some paranormal activity to set the motion sensor off, however what happened next actually chilled the group of six of us to the bone.
I was calling out as well as pointing the red laser pen at the teddy bear, I was saying “can you see the red light, go the red light and touch it”, seconds later a disembodied voice was heard to say from the ghost box, “yes, it’s pretty”. This left the whole group absolutely stunned and gobsmacked, as a group we all felt priveliged to have heard and witnessed such paranormal activity as clear as bell.
As a spiritualist too, something like this gels my ideas about the afterlife even more, I totally believe that when we die our soul moves on, even though the body does’nt. In this example the voice box, provides evidence that as a ghost or spirit, we will have the capability to see, and think and more importantly communicate.
Thank you.
